Our hearts’ desire is to honor God by reading His Word publicly.
This event was organized each year by three wonderful ladies who greatly love the Lord and His Word. Kathy Bolam, Karla Roy, and Susan Nartowicz formed the 1st Annual Bible Reading Marathon in 2010 and, though both Kathy and Karla have since gone to be with the Lord, it continues faithfully each year.
Each year they form a team and we read every chapter, every verse, every word from the Bible. We start in Genesis and continue reading nonstop around the clock until we reach the last verse in Revelation. The event normally lasts about 90 hours.
In previous years we have had the pleasure of having readers join us from over 50 different churches. We have had readers of all ages who come from all over Sarasota county.
We always begin the event with an hour of prayer for our nation and worship to our Lord.
